The Southern Violin Association will be holding its next meeting/conference on Saturday-Sunday, April 23-24. We'll be meeting at the University of Georgia's School of Music at the Athens, GA campus
Presenters will include Chris Germain, Jerry Pasewicz, Pablo Alfaro, and perhaps more. You should already recognize these names. Our meeting in 2015 was held at Beauvinci Violins in Alpharetta, GA and was standing room only, so for this year we'll be meeting at the University of Georgia campus, where we have two large rooms available. We're also going to have more social time, with a long lunch, an evening out, and time to show your violins and fiddles to any of these great makers for critique and suggestions. Meeting is open to members, and you can pay member fee at the door. For 2016 it will be $50.

We're also planning a makers competition for 2017 which will be open to everyone, but with some special awards for makers from the Southeast. This will include viola, cello and bases as well.
