Classically trained but subverted to traditional Irish music in 1970. Qualified as a Ceoltas teacher in 1978 and taught at St Wilfreds CCE, St Bernadatte's CCE and St Malachy's CCE in Manchester. Played with Contraflow Fiddlin Around and Wild Ride. Now playing OT with banjo player Scott Simmons. Scott and Bob have formed the band "East Creek Union" in May 2013
