Dance to the Fiddle March to the Fife and Bayard recordings

From steves on 6/20/2013 12:25:21 PM

Hello, my name is Steve.  I just joined this group and fiddlehangout.  I know carlb.  I would very much like to view the  pdf of Dance to the Fiddle March to the Fife.  I previously borrowed it from the Penn State Library.  I was also wondering if I could have access to the recordings and information?  I already have copies of all the Bayard recordings, which I purchased two years ago.  I was also wondering if any of the recordings have an instrument playing in reverse in the background?  Two of the CDs I received had this, but I listened to the same recordings at Penn State and they didn't have this.  Also, I have copies of a large amount of the textual part of the Bayard Collection.  I am not sure what everyone has already.

Thanks,

Steve

Send me your email address and I'll invite you to collaborate on Bayard Folder on the box.net where lots of stuff is stored. You'll be able to upload as well.

But I need an actual email address. Send it to
ptyler@oldtownschool.org

There's a partial answer to your question about the reverse recordings in one of the Tape Note files. Evidently some of the original tapes (or ealiest copies) that were dubbed onto CD were recorded on a quarter track machine with the tracks interlaced. The rest of the recordings and all of the dubbings were made on a quarter track machine with the tracks side by side.
