Among the files that Ken shared were two tracks marked 5"Tape and 2 tracks labeled a little bit of history.
The first of the 5" tapes is a recording of the ballad Matty Groves. More than likely, this is the tape made in Michigan and mailed to Dr. Bayard by Dr. Walton. (I could come up with that thanks to the notes that Larry scanned and shared.)
The second of the 5" tapes is a half hour recording of an Arab-American talking about Arab songs. He sang a few and accompanied himself on the oud. (My conjecture is that this may have been recorded during a class at Penn State.)
A Little Bit of History is a radio show that featured Dr. Bayard talking about folk song collecting. It is quite interesting. (I converted it to mp3 and uploaded the whole thing to the box.)
One of the Little Bit of History tracks is blank. No 2, I think it was.
