Bayard notes

From devilsbox on 6/11/2013 7:13:55 AM

I just got back from a 3 week vacation in the South and I am a bit overwhelmed right now. But I did want to mention that I stopped at Clare Milliner and Walt Koken's house for a fun filled day.

Clare gave me a package of Dance To The Fiddle material. Notes of some sort. I'm not sure what I've got here. Quite a bit though. Plus she let me copy a CD that she had.

I scanned in a page of the notes so that you all can see. Let me know if this will be helpful and I'll scan all the other stuff in.

Larry (It's Larry, right)
That page is cool and well-timed. I'm just about to track the material on Tape 18.

Send me your email address and I'll invite you to a Bayard folder on box.net.

Thanks, Larry. Those look like either Bayard's notes, or notes by someone who had first hand knowledge of the recordings. This is what I felt we were lacking when I tried to decipher what was on Tapes 15-26. I thought there had to have been some kind of fieldnotes at one time. I think some of this is also on the YouTube channel you linked to on the forum.
Paul - Did you see my summary of those tapes in the comment I added to your earlier post? This agrees with what I found for Tape 18. Maybe I should make that a separate post - I didn't know the ways of posting in the group yet.

Yes Larry. ifiddle2@yahoo.com

I'll work on getting the rest of the notes scanned in. Also I'll rip that Bayard CD and share that. There is no track list or anything with it.

I forgot, Clare also gave me a CD labeled Ganiear, Chas. I'll make all this stuff available.
