Hey folks,
Here's a log of most of the tunes/stories within the 1986 Bryner/Hughes/Krysty video. I'm missing some names but I think I have all the tunes down as something. If you have updated/corrected names let me know! I also have it as a document if anyone would like me to send it directly.

8. Off She Goes (Brynard says its wind that shakes the barley and plays, - Hughes corrects him and they play Off She Goes again)

12. Cecil's Tune in C. - Jonah Hughes brother Cecil played this, didn't have a name for it, they call it Cecil's Tune

17. Jonah H. talks about how he's going to be 8(4?) on the 12th of July, Started playing fiddle at 16, first two tunes he learned were Old Susy and Sally Waters.

23. Around 01:05:00 Story about female fiddle player Gertrude Dean, who beat J. Hughes with a tune called (______?) hornpipe. I think that took place in Maryland.
24. Flowers of Edinburgh. Hughes 01:07:00
25. (Hogtrot?) Reel.
26. The Hog Rocks. 01:11:28, again with just Hughes around 01:12:09.
27. Story about Hog Rocks - Something about a (strange?) fiddler who lived close to Hog Rocks, Bryner's Grandpap learned that tune, never knew the name, they called it Hog Rocks. Used to let the hogs loose then butcher in the fall. Folks marked the hogs by notches or slits in the ears. It was dangerous for them as kids, getting chased by hogs. Talk about the big chestnut timbers and how they started dying in 1920. They'd go out with horse and sled to butcher the hogs.

34. Story about Robert Martin's (other man in video- friend visiting) Grandfather, Jasper Martin, who crossed his legs and tapped his foot with crossed legs. Who also played accordion.
35. Story about the first fiddle tune played at the Grand Old Opry. In 1925, Jimmy Thompson who was 82 years old played the first fiddle tun there and it was a Quadrille.
36. (____?) Quadrille (first fiddle tune played at the Grand Old Opry). Hughes. 01:29:00 "can't play it like Uncle Jimmy"
37. Durham's Bull. Quadrille. Hughes. 01:31:00
38. Left food Right Food, any food at all. Bryner and Hughes. After they play the tune Hughes says they played it in the wrong key and goes through it again down a (4th?).
39. Old Grey Barn. Bryner and Hughes 01:34:55

41. Story about weddings, J. Hughes 60th wedding anniversary. Jim and Thelma were there.
42. Story: about a sick cow, how Bryner helped Hughes with the cow. Hughes: "this boy here, he'll stick with you Dave"
43. Story: Thelma Bryner (Jim Bryner's Wife) telling how Hughes would come over at 2:00 pm and they'd play. She'd ahve to threaten to smash the fiddle over your head to get them to stop.
44. Story about filming the PBS documentary 01:45:00. How Thelma danced in it
45. Story: Thelma (again about Hughes and Bryner playing on Sundays) "They'd play from 2pm to 7 O'clock and never play the same tune twice."
46. Devil's Dream. Hughes. 01:47:00
47. (____? )water Jig. Bryner 01:48:00
48. Silver Spangled Hornpipe. Bryner.
49. Smash the Windows Jig. Hughes. "it's a Canadian Jig". says Jim Bryner taught it to him. 01:52:00
50. Smiling Watermelon on the vine. Bryner and Hughes. 01:53:48
51. Smiling Watermelon on the Vine - words. Hughes starts singing, Hughes and Bryner finish. 01:55:01
52. Noname Schottish. 01:55:39 "never got the name of it" used to play lots of schottishes in their area.
53. Arkansas Traveller. Bryner and Hughes 01:57:18
54. No name tune in D. Bryner and Hughes. 01:59:08
55. Stories about where they worked
56. Hughes talks about learning to play piano and breaking his arm - now wrist doesn't move the same way.
