Here are some events I'm aware of.

SEBA (south easter bluegrass association) is a great source for Bluegrass happenings. I've been to some of the chapter meetings/jams, and they really vary. A great way to meet Bluegrass folks. Here's their events calendar.

Chattahoochee Country Dancers host a dance, with a live band, every Friday night, as well as a smaller dance the 1st, and 3rd tuesdays of the month. This smaller dance offers musicians to sit in with the house band of the night. A great way to wet your feet. I need to do this more.

I haven't been to these Irish sessions yet, but I'm looking forward to checking them out.

My luthier of choice is a guy named Mark @ Noth Fulton Violins, in Alpharetta. He did a great set up on my Gliga, really pulling a lot more everything from it, and he's done some amazing things with some of my friends fiddles.

This is about all the info I have, but I plan to check my first ot jam out tomorrow. There are videos on youtube thanks to moonshine, I'm sure she can tell ya more about it if needed. Looks like tuns of fun! I can't wait. Been. Wantin to go for a while, but have been working on the weekends...
