As most folks know the Cotton school, site of the contest for the past thirty years,has closed and is no longer available to host the event. The Mesabi Symphony Orchestra in cooperation with the Cotton Civic Club will be hosting the contest in its new location. It will be held on Saturday, August 4th at Merritt Elementary School on Hgwy 169 Mountain Iron, MN. This will now be a one day format with the elimination round at 1pm and the final round at 6:30pm. Also, who won the pro category? By the way, for the rest of you, it was an excellent evening. The new "venue" is great - better auditorium, better sound, comfortable seats and AC!
	TimK says: 8/7/2012 6:00:52 AM It was nice to see you again James & to meet your wife. I finished second in the senior division. Mary La Plant from Grand Rapids took overall champion. Her fourth time I believe.
