I just posted the tune, "Ladies on the Steamboat" in the Jukebox section of this website today 9/9/2012 (for all of the details, read the description/notes found at the playlist for fiddlehangout.com . I recorded the tune as I played along with my "Dream Team" of old-time Kentucky fiddlers and teachers including John Harrod, Jesse Wells, Bobby Taylor, Bob Buckingham,Jimmy McCown and an import from Missouri, Bill Ray.
They were very kind to the two Cowan Creek Old Time Music School students who sat in their jam session. The young student, Joseph Cobb, quickly caught on to the tune---it took me considerably longer---that may be because I'm considerably older and fumble fingered---and I had used my 5-string violin in a five hour-long jam session the day before ---so my left arm felt like it was going to fall off.
