I went to the 35th Llano Open Fiddle contest today. Texas fiddlin filled the air at the Historic Lan Theater. Fiddlin from young and old. It was great to see fiddlin alive and well here in the Beautiful Texas Hill Country. Fingerless Roy Thackerson was a Judge and treated us to some fine fiddilin. Combine that with the drive passed the bluebonnets and wildflowers.....great way to spend a day.

	fiddlerd says: 4/8/2012 5:55:34 AM Pauline, Roy was born in 1938 and had a accident when he was a kid that left him with nubs on his left hand. He learned to play fiddle and guitar. Let me tell you he can play! It shows what you can do with determination, dedication and the love of music. I told him what an inspiration.....maybe there is hope for me.
