Online tunelearning pages -- 4 free tunes

From EdPearlman on 11/26/2011 12:59:07 PM

I don't think you'll find this anywhere else on the web -- Tunelearning Pages with tunes broken down on screen and on a virtual mp3 player, phrase by phrase -- building blocks for you to learn and play the tunes well, and remember them better, too.

You can take a "tour" of the tunelearning pages and get 4 free tunes to work on.  That'll give you plenty of time to see if you like working this way, and if you do, you can choose to sign up for up to 44 more tunes, with more on the way.

(If you sign up for a Tune Group of a dozen tunes you get a free t-shirt that says "I Played It Better At Home" !)

Hope you enjoy the tour.

Thanks Ed! The site looks really cool. I'm not sure I can learn a tune by ear when it plays at full speed, but it might be worth a try when I get a little better. I like that you can hear the tune as well as read the music which is very helpful for us beginners.

Hi -- the learning tracks are not full speed, they're slow and only give you one phrase, repeated, so you can listen and play along with a manageable bit of a tune, and build it up that way. Try the tour and the links through to the actually tunelearning page where you click on the phrases. Or are you saying that the phrases are playing too fast for you? That's good to know too; let me know, thanks.

I guess I need to look a little closer. I kind of did a quick look through. It was the mp3 that seemed regular speed. I'm so new that even really slow seems fast. I compensate by listening over and over a lot.
