This is a Hiroshi Kono violin made in 2019. Kono violins are known throughout the country and even abroad as one of the best violin brands available under $5000. They have been endorsed by major players over and over and have often beaten out more expensive violins in trials.
Built on a comfortable and easy to manage Guarneri model, each one is taken apart and given a good bassbar and a check of graduations before receiving varnish in Bethesda. No Kono is labeled until it’s been played to ensure it is of good quality. All Konos have a one-piece back.
This violin has just had a new professional setup by Maxham Violins and has a fresh set of Rondo strings with Goldbrokat E. As has become standard with Konos, it comes with Wittner pegs for convenience. It will be shipped in a lightweight case unless a different option is requested. Bows are available as well, some of which are posted on this marketplace.
