Dang, I missed it... I often get spam replies to my music posts... I report them..

I’ve been flagging spam posts the last couple days to try to get them off the site. If you report a post I think the site’s automation pulls it. Since the moderators aren’t active, that’s the only way to make a difference. It seems to come in waves.
It’s almost laughable just how far-fetched the spam topics can be…almost.
Unfortunately spam posts are just a common occurrence now. That must mean that there are enough people out there who click the links to justify the operation. That thought is more troubling than the spam.

I think the problem is more than spam right now
My feelings on AI changed this year... It is a force that these old formats are going to have to deal with... I'll save the details, but I had pages 'attacked' by AI and it's concerning stuff.

Point is, that all you see in recent posts is spam, and there is no way of dismissing it without having to look at it.
i don't think AI is the problem it's the way people use it is the problem. Personally i find it invaluable for research. But if i don't know the right questions to ask it will walk all over me, and just endorse the lowest common denominator C**p.

I have an AI app I like for research myself... but AI is a huge problem as not only are there fake accounts, but AI can be used to attack/hack websites and social media pages.
(from AI)...
The Role of AI in Hacking Attacks
The increasing sophistication of artificial intelligence (AI) has raised concerns about its potential use in hacking attacks.[2] AI-powered hacking tools can automate tasks, identify vulnerabilities, and even generate malware. As AI technology continues to evolve, the risk of more sophisticated and damaging cyberattacks grows.
Potential Consequences of AI-Powered Cyberattacks
A significant AI-powered cyberattack could have severe consequences, including financial losses, compromised personal data, and disruption of critical infrastructure.

...not trying to be contrary, just saying that this platform may be dealing with a lot more than random spammers

There is a simple solution to this problem, one that has already been implemented successfully on Maestronet to weed out spam: require all new members to have their first few posts reviewed before they’re published. This allows moderators to screen new posters without junk clogging up the site. It looks like the moderators have mostly been dormant for ages, and this issue isn’t one that can be prevented by forum members, only retroactively adjusted. Spam is successful if it gets views, so it needs to be stopped before that happens and rewards the algorithms that place it.
