Since there's not much happening on here today .... I happened to be re-watching some videos of a former bandmate (briefly) and part of my musical circle from the early days, and thought I'd pass them along. It's kind of ironic that while Kim Vincent was devoted to Irish fiddle, the only videos of him on youtube have him playing a couple of Canadian Old-Time tunes, and a Jerry Holland tune (which, admittedly, is pretty Irish-y). Presumably, these were at the request of students. Kim seemed to have no interest in self-promotion, fame and fortune, and no interest in posterity; he just wanted to play fiddle, and - "Boy, did he!" These vids are from about a year before his untimely death:

There's a nice feel to what he's doing, both when he plays slow and fast. Thanks for sharing
