I heard this one: "Hey folks, I'm trying to find a new home for a banjo. It will be FREE to the first person who calls me. As soon as I have your address I'll jump my neighbor's fence when he isn't home and get the banjo for you."

I don't know...made me laugh when I heard it.laugh

Why do we bury banjo players six feet under?

Because deep down, they are all very nice people!

How long does it take to tune a banjo?....Nobody knows.

Difference between playing banjo and harmonica. On the harmonica you only suck half the time.......but I love em!

Here are several questions that all have the same answer:

  • Why are Contest fiddlers good in bed?

  • Why are Bluegrass fiddlers better in bed than Old-Time fiddlers?

  • Why are Scottish fiddlers better in bed than Irish fiddlers?

  • Why are mandolinists better in bed than fiddlers?

Answer: Because they're not afraid to leave first position!

And now you know my real motivation for getting better in other positions.

[That's my attempt to put a little bit of a new spin on an old joke.]

I notice you're always tuning that banjo. Maybe you should have spent the extra money and got one that was in tune.

...spends half his time tuning the banjo, and the other half playing out of tune.

..not necessarily a joke, but at a jam the other night I realized that my homemade banjo is pretty special. It is 'self tuning'..Yep... If I tune it to say, G (gDGBD) it will automatically retune to something else.. Pretty neat huh? Years ago I read that there were over different banjo tunings. That is nothing. My homemade banjo goes through 50 tunings at every jam......Alz I gotta do is breath on it!!

What is perfect pitch?

Throwing a banjo in a dumpster and hitting an accordion.

Banjer pickin is no joke. It's one solid weekend of training.

One banjer picker was mailing a sweater. It was too heavy. So he cut the buttons off and stuck them in the pocket (of the sweater).
