I have 3 fiddles and 4 bows. I use 2 bows most of the time. I am thinking about buying material and trying to rehair the the bows that are just sitting in cases. I watched a Youtube video and it did not look that diifficult. I am going to use Mongolian horsehair or Canadian horsehair. Any advice on buying and installing bowhair will be appreciated. Sometime videos do not mention small details that can create big problems.

I would suggest starting out by experimenting on a bow or two you do not consider dear to you, just in case it does not turn out well. It can be tricky to get everything put together just right, and most instructors will tell you it takes lots of practice to get competent at it. Good luck.

Just look at the youtubes and learn by your own mistakes. in my experience cutting the wedges is hard. i've done about half a dozen bows with Mongolian hair. Just do it and see how you go on.... i've even taken the hair straight from the horse and re-haired bows with it (you need it longer than you think).
