I was given a violin that has no label but on the back is stamped Vuillaume. After doing a bit of research on this violin, the results are all over the place. It is a 3/4 size violin that looks like it has some age to it. I am repairing it for a client that got it at auction and wants to resell it. I'm trying to get an idea of what it is worth and or its worth repairing. Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

Very many violins were made in Germany and given a “Vuillaume” stamp underneath the button. None of them were part of the Vuillaume workshops’ production. The value will be commensurate to that of similar low to mid level commercial violins of the period, minus any devaluation based on damage. If you’re trying to determine whether it makes sense to repair it, post more pictures that show the rest of the violin and the damage.
