My wife and I are headed to New England in a few weeks to visit her family and I would like to do a Cajun fiddle workshop or two while we are in the area, maybe offer a few private lessons. Any suggestions? I understand Portland, Maine has a Cajun scene, and North Adams, Mass has an Irish session. I'm open to any ideas, contacts, or venues that might want to host or towns with scenes I could check out. Thanks in advance.

Hi Mitch,
I’m surprised no one has responded yet. Eastern New England is bursting with Irish music jams I suggest you put your request on the Fiddle Hell Facebook page and see what happens.

I love playing Irish tunes. I have a band called Celjun and we play Cajun and Irish reels and jigs.

Hi Mitch, cool, do you have a web presence? you 'do' remember me, don't you?

Yes, Patrick! Great to meet up with you here. I have a website MitchReedMusicLessons.com, and Celjun has a Facebook page. Check it out. We mostly play Irish fests and maybe a local gig here and there.

Thanks, Patrick. I'm working on scheduling a Cajun fiddle workshop in Maine the week of May 21, so that should be fun.
